Our Impact
Project Opioid’s work on the overdose crisis began in our hometown of Central Florida, where more than 100 business, faith, and philanthropic leaders across the region have come together to work on this incredible mental health, substance abuse, and overdose crisis.

Why has Central Florida seen success when others have failed? Our progress is due to the commitment of a core group of community leaders who decided to abandon their political agendas in favor of a new, collective approach with the goal to decrease deaths of despair by a minimum 50% in three years.
Central Florida made great strides towards solving the opioid crisis in our region by:
Project Opioid’s goal is to reduce opioid overdoses and overdose deaths in Florida by a minimum of 50% over the next 36 months.

At Project Opioid, we offer each community across America a set of tools to solve the opioid crisis drawn from our experiences in Central Florida that are adaptable to each community’s unique needs, resources, and capacities.
